Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FlipDar collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use our websites, apps, watchlists, alerts, assistant features, and related services (the "Service").

This policy applies to FlipDar-controlled services only. It does not apply to third-party platforms, marketplaces, payment processors, identity providers, or other external services we do not control.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information such as email, username, and profile details.
  • Watchlist data such as names, keywords, ignore words, price filters, and locations.
  • Alert interaction data such as viewed, contacted, purchased, and hidden actions.
  • Communications such as support requests, feedback, and contact-form submissions.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device, browser, operating system, and approximate geolocation from IP.
  • Usage logs such as pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, and diagnostics.
  • Security and anti-abuse telemetry, including rate-limit and error data.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar storage for authentication, session continuity, preferences, analytics, and security. Browser settings may allow you to block certain cookies, but some features may not function correctly.

You can review and update optional cookie categories any time from the footer Cookie preferences link or Account Center privacy settings.

We may retain a record of your cookie preference choices (including timestamp and region signal) for compliance and audit purposes.

1.4 Payment and Subscription Data

Payments are processed by Stripe (or another processor we may use). FlipDar does not store full card numbers or CVC. We store limited billing metadata such as customer IDs, plan status, invoice state, and transaction references.

1.5 Third-Party Sign-In

If you use Google or another identity provider, we receive account data those services make available to us (typically email, display name, and provider user ID).

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Operate watchlists, alert delivery, dashboards, exports, and account features.
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse.
  • Provide support and respond to user inquiries.
  • Measure performance, quality, reliability, and product usage.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce Terms and policies.

3. AI and Automated Features

3.1 Assistant Processing

When AI assistant features are enabled, we may send limited request data to third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini) to generate responses.

3.2 Keyword Suggestion Learning

FlipDar uses watchlist keyword inputs and alert interaction signals to improve keyword suggestions over time. Signals include: watchlist keyword/ignore-word seeds and alert outcomes such as viewed, contacted, purchased, and hidden.

This learning is used to rank and propose better in-app keyword suggestions. It is not represented as financial, legal, tax, investment, medical, or other professional advice.

Deleting a specific watchlist or alert does not necessarily remove previously learned aggregate keyword scoring from our model inputs. Account-linked training records are removed when the account is deleted, subject to legal retention obligations. De-identified or aggregate statistics may be retained.

3.3 Chat History Controls

If chat history is enabled, we store assistant conversation history (typically up to 90 days) so you can revisit prior chats and we can analyze aggregated product performance. You can disable chat history in account privacy settings for future chats.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data for money. We may share data in these situations:

  • Service providers helping us operate the Service (for example: hosting, auth, payments, analytics, AI processing, email delivery, and error monitoring).
  • Legal requests and compliance, including subpoenas and lawful process.
  • Safety, fraud prevention, policy enforcement, and rights protection.
  • Business transfers such as merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type and legal context.

Examples: billing records may be retained for accounting/legal reasons; security logs may be retained for abuse prevention; chat history retention depends on your privacy settings.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No internet transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and update account information through available settings.
  • Request account/data deletion via support.
  • Control assistant features and chat-history preferences where available.
  • Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links.
  • Control cookies through browser settings.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including certain U.S. states), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion, correction, and appeal rights. To exercise rights, contact us at flipdarllc@gmail.com.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where FlipDar or its providers operate. Data protection laws may differ by jurisdiction.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 and is generally intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Third-Party Links and Platforms

FlipDar may link to third-party websites or marketplaces. We are not responsible for third-party content, security, availability, or privacy practices. Review their policies directly before use.

11. Liability and Legal Scope

This Privacy Policy describes data practices; it does not expand or modify contractual liability limits in your Terms of Service. For disclaimers, warranties, and limitation of liability terms, see /terms.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
